Dana White Blasts Reporter Over Fury-Joshua Questions
Dana White did not want another question about Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua.
The UFC CEO snapped at a reporter during a Sky Sports and Paramount+ press conference after Zuffa Boxing 11 and accused him of steering the room back to Eddie Hearn.
“You, you, you, I know what you’re doing,” Dana said. “Your, your, your lead question, you f*cking know.”
He did not stop there.
“And what I’ve said a hundred and fifty thousand times, I don’t know if I’ve ever known anybody who’s more full of f*cking sh*t than Eddie Hearn.”
The fight in question is the heavyweight meeting announced for Dec. 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff and listed for Netflix. Hearn has said Joshua’s contract keeps Dana, Zuffa Boxing, and TKO off the promotion.
Dana has said the opposite. He has also said he no longer knows if the bout happens at all.
“If, I, I’m done,” he said. “I don’t even, if, f*cking, if, when, who, whatever, this guy is full of f*cking sh*t.”
He added that the line has not changed.
“I’ve been saying the same thing since way back when, and here we are.”
The reporter tried a different angle. He asked whether Dana would step aside if his involvement was the reason the fight might collapse.
“But if your involvement hinges on the fight happening or not, would you be willing to step back and just say you guys sort it out yourself?”
Dana refused that framing.
“Well, that’s, that’s not up to me,” he said. “That’s not up to me. I’m, I’m involved in the f*cking fight.”
Asked who then controls the decision, he shrugged.
“Who’s it up to then?”
“I don’t know,” Dana said. “I don’t know.”
That is the most important part of the clip. The man whose name went on the Netflix announcement would not say the December date is safe.
He then turned on the questioner.
“I know what you’re doing. You’re leading question,” Dana said. “Hi, welcome to boxing. What did you just f*cking walk in from across the street with your cell phone and you don’t know anything about this sport or what’s going on?”
He kept going.
“And who the f*ck are you and how’d you end up in this and no one in this room seems to know what’s going on with the fight and who’s involved.”
Then he shut the topic down.
“You have any other questions that are relevant to this evening or anything else?”
The press conference was supposed to belong to a Zuffa Boxing card. It became another chapter in the Fury-Joshua standoff.
Hearn spent the week arguing that Dana cannot promote the fight. Fury has said he removed a similar clause from his own deal because he wants Dana White involved.
Dana did not use this session to announce a compromise. He used it to say Hearn is the problem and that the fight itself is not settled.
That leaves December 11 in the same place it has been all week. The date is on a press release. The promoters are still fighting over who is allowed in the building.
Joshua is 30-4 with 27 knockouts. Fury is 36-2-1 with 25 knockouts. Fans have waited more than a decade for them to share a ring.
None of that resolves the contract language Hearn keeps citing.
Dana can stay in the fight, as he said Saturday. He can also keep answering that he does not know if the fight happens.
The next few days will show which one matters. Hearn will keep talking. Dana already said he is tired of the questions.
The only update from this press conference is that the UFC boss still will not step back, and he still will not promise Cardiff happens.
