Erick Visconde Takes Unanimous Decision Over Ilias Bulaid on Contender Series

Erick Visconde defeated Ilias Bulaid by unanimous decision in the main event of Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10, Week 10 on Tuesday night at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. The official scorecards read 30-27 across all three judges after three full rounds.

Visconde improved to 18-3 while Bulaid fell to 9-1. The fight streamed on Paramount+ and closed the season finale card.

Visconde controlled the grappling exchanges throughout, landing 8 of 10 takedown attempts and holding 9:30 of control time against Bulaid’s 0:28.

He also connected on 68 of 100 significant strikes compared with Bulaid’s 25 of 41, with the bulk of the damage landing to the head.

The bout stayed on the mat for long stretches once Visconde secured the early takedowns. Bulaid looked for opportunities to stand and create striking moments with kicks and combinations, but Visconde returned to top control and limited the output from the bottom.

Neither fighter scored a knockdown. The decision matched the pattern of Visconde’s recent regional wins, where grappling control had factored into his path through LFA competition.

Visconde, the Brazilian who held the LFA Featherweight Championship entering the fight, arrived on a four-fight winning streak that included a split decision title victory over Gustavo Pintos in May.

Bulaid, the Moroccan kickboxer who fights as The Blade, entered undefeated at 9-0 after previous competition in Bellator and Levels Fight League. The pairing had originally been scheduled for Week 8 before Bulaid withdrew due to illness, moving the contest to the season finale.

The result ends Bulaid’s perfect record and adds a dominant decision win for Visconde on the Contender Series stage. Contender Series winners typically receive UFC offers when the promotion is impressed, though final determinations for the full card remain pending after the season’s last bout.
