Jai Herbert Defeats Matheus Camilo by Unanimous Decision at UFC Vegas

Jai Herbert defeated Matheus Camilo by unanimous decision in the lightweight co-main event at UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Duncan. All three judges scored it 29-28 after three rounds at Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Herbert landed 80 of 194 total strikes at 41.2 percent and 54 of 157 significant strikes at 34.4 percent. Camilo connected on 51 of 94 total strikes at 54.3 percent and 43 of 86 significant strikes at 50.0 percent.

Neither fighter scored a knockdown or attempted a submission. Camilo completed 2 of 4 takedown attempts at 50 percent. Herbert went 0 of 1.

The official announcement came in the Octagon. “All three judges score this fight, twenty nine, twenty eight,” the announcer said. “Your winner by unanimous decision, the black country banger, Joy Herbert!” Herbert’s hand was raised. Camilo stood opposite him in yellow shorts as the decision was read.

Herbert entered as the underdog and left with the first back-to-back wins of his UFC career. The English lightweight had stopped Mandel Nallo by knockout in the first round in April.

Camilo, the Brazilian, had entered on a two-fight win streak that included a first-round finish of Nazim Sadykhov. He was the favorite on most lines heading into the co-main.

Herbert carried the higher output across the distance and used forward pressure to keep Camilo from settling into range. Camilo completed both of his takedowns and used the top position in the later rounds, but the three 29-28 cards all went to Herbert. The fight stayed on the feet for the majority of the 15 minutes and produced no knockdowns.

Herbert moves to 15-6-1. Camilo falls to 11-4. The 38-year-old from the United Kingdom improves to 2-0 in 2026. Camilo’s streak ends after consecutive wins. Both fighters remain unranked at lightweight, and the division continues with several contenders still active on the current schedule.
